Now known as the Frank Applegate Estate. This was the hub of the folk art movement in New Mexico. One of Santa Fe's oldest historic estate properties originally built in the 1700s, bought by Spainsh army sargeant Francisco de la Pena in 1845 and then in the 1920s by artist Frank Applegate. With its glorious outdoor spaces on 1.74 acres including a beautifully landscaped traditional Placita enclosed courtyard and clay tennis court, this very private family compound in a superb location is a rare offering indeed. There is also a well with an acre foot of water for landscaping purposes.
